The demo been tested only with Oculus Rift VERSION 1, we did not have possibility to try and test it with other devices. The demo works with DirectX 9 ( June 2010 ) - we tested, it does not work ( yet ? ) with 32 bits machines only 64 bits ones. PROGRAM KEYS VERSION 1.01 ( keyboard ) : - Pressing "q" exits the program. - Pressing "p" switches between Oculus Rift view and standard 3D view - Pressing "l" takes a screen snapshot, the snapshot is saved into the same folder where the program is installed as a BMP file named snapshot_xxx.bmp where XXX is a number. ( Note that for some reason some programs can't read this BMP but Windows PAINT can and can save it as something else ). BUGS FIXES IN THIS RELEASE 1.01 - corrected bug that wasn't making it work with ATI cards - corrected the "owl bug" causing weird spaceship movement when using a mouse - adjusted the look of the sun NEW FEATURES OF RELEASE 1.01 - improved drawing method, faster on quite some graphic cards - added a command line argument, the .exe can be started passing one optional argument, a number from 0 to 2 in the command line. The default is 0. The meaning of the argument is : 0 ( 1920 x 1080 res ), 1 ( 1920 x 1200 res ) , 2 ( 1280 x 800 res ) NOTES ABOUT VERSION 1.01 This program still uses the "old fashion" SDK1 distorsion shader, as the 4th cofficient DistortionK[3] was 0 it's been removed from the shader equation to save computation time. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The demo uses the FMOD library for the 3D sound, it gets the default audio device it can find, FMOD is developed and maintained by Firelight Technologies http://www.fmod.org . We recommend the use of headphones to appreciate the 3D sound. Very little test been done, this demo been ported/coded quite quick in time for the Blackpool 2014 exhibition so it is what it is.
