This is a message for all that want to register here
Hi Guys,

I still have to find a better solution to all this but it's getting really hard to track, we are constantly blasted by SPAM and bots trying to register fake accounts on this forum.

I still have to find a better way to administer all this and/or see if I can find any plugin/stuff for PHPbb to automate/kill some stuff, one of the most tremendously annoying features of PHPbb seems you cannot select a bunch of users and delete them all in a go, you have to go one user at the time and delete it.

Fundamentally I get "98 spam registrations and maybe 2 are real", there's not always easy way to find out what's what, I cannot spend my whole day deleting registrations.

It turns out that having a forum is more a pain in the arse/spam well than useufl stuff, "unbelievable" how much you are hit by bots and things just trying to post stuff about viagara, buy this or that or look at my pr0n cam or such.

It's a mess.

If you want to be registered here, write me an email to gilesgoat@llamasoft.co.uk explaining ( briefly ) who you are, if I can't see you are a human and a real one your ( attempted ) registration will be deleted.

It's not ideal I know but at the moment I don't know ( yet ) what better to do, I could/will probably have to spend many hours during week end just deleting accounts and/or disproving stuff.

It's extremely frustrating but so it is, I am SO into projects and stuff and trying to finish things quick that I really don't need all this on top, it's just a monumental waste of time.

So "no proof of good registration, no account".

I don't know what else to do at the moment.

You should at least make this post an announcement or something because otherwise sticking it here is akin to putting it on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying 'Beware of the Leopard'.
